Nature-inspired New Year's

osstewardship

Wondering what sort of New Year's Resolutions to make this year? Why not take inspiration from local habitats? Check in each week in January for a new nature-inspired resolution.

Resolution #1: Be like a wetland and absorb as much as you can. Don't forget about filtration!

Wetlands can absorb thousands of gallons of water during spring melt and high stream flows, which helps reduce flooding. In addition to that, the plant roots also filter out pollutants and make the water cleaner. Aim to absorb as much new learning and knowledge as you can this year but don't forget to fact check and filter out anything false or misleading!
